Licensed since 1987, and a Broker since 1995, Jo Jenkins has been a managing Broker, Owner of two Franchised Real Estate Companies, and a top Salesperson over the years. She served her profession as President of the Iowa Association of REALTORS® in 2006, was IAR’s 2009 REALTOR® of the Year, received the L Martin Lee Political Involvement Award in 2019, and IAR’s highest award, the O.G.Powell/Joan Ballentyne Distinguished Service Award in 2012. Jo served Region 8 as the Regional Vice President for the National Association of REALTORS® and currently is past Chair of NAR’s Broker Engagement Committee as well as a member of the REALTOR Relief Foundation. Jo is a Golden R RPAC Investor, belongs to RPAC’s President’s Circle, was inducted into NAR’s RPAC Hall of Fame in 2017 and entered the $50,000 tier two level in 2024. She served as FPC for eight years for Congressman Loebsack. Throughout the years, Jo has donated her time locally as Chairs of the The Newton Development Corporation, Chamber of Commerce, and United Way as well as a member of Kiwanis, Sacred Heart Church, and volunteering for the Newton School District. Married for 40 years, Jo has 3 Sons, 4 Granddaughters, and new Grandson, Jack... Spending time with Family brings Jo her greatest joy.
