We will gather in San Antonio for our annual retreat from May 31-June 2nd, 2026. For those arriving early, mark your calendar for a list of pre-retreat activities, the details of which will follow. The Omni La Mansion Del Rio has agreed to extend the discounted rate of $199/night* prior and post retreat May 28-June 7, as many of you have enjoyed in the past. With its rich history, Museums, over 30 Art Galleries, great golf options a short drive away, plus local events and world-class dining, you will want extra time to explore this wonderful city.

General Outline of the 2026 AREA Retreat.
The event officially begins on Sunday evening with a casual reception/registration. It provides an opportunity for a meet-and-greet before the sessions on Monday.
Monday is a full-day event, beginning with breakfast at 7 and ending at approximately 4:30-5 pm, with lunch and breaks in between.
Monday evening, we continue a popular tradition I refer to as “A Seat at The Table”. While dinner is on your own, we provide an opportunity for groups of 8-10 to dine together at selected local restaurants. The committee does a wonderful job to pair members for each group. They arrange the reservations and the feedback is always great.
Tuesday's schedule is breakfast at 7, followed by a half-day session, lunch, and a fun off-site event.
Tuesday evening is our Gala dinner/award ceremony.
Many members will arrive early to enjoy the weekend in San Antonio and take advantage of our block room rates. For those who choose that option, we are planning a fun, Riverwalk themed networking event for early Saturday evening followed by dinner on your own. Details to follow.
